Make the Most of Your Flight to Africa

Considering that the flight from the USA to Tanzania Africa takes 22 hours and costs $1,800, how can you maximize this "investment?" Zara Tours Adventures can guide you through the process!

Trek Kilimanjaro - Consider this trek, worthy of serious bragging rights, as it is one of the Seven Summits! Think of this multi-day trek as a 40-mile round trip hike. Choose one of many routes to fit your interets. If the full climb does not catch your fancy, consider a two day hike part way up the mountain, stay in a hut, and experience the Kilimanjaro feeling. Still not interested in the hike? Take a scenic flight around the mountain.

Safari - While other African countries offer safaris, there is only one Serengeti National Park with the sweeping savanah, and only one Ngorongoro Crater with it's awesome landscape. Zara is the only operator allowed permanent tent camps in the National Parks, so you will be "sleeping with the animals" (Maasai guides take you from your luxury tents to the dining structures. Zara's Wild Camps are simply amazing! Consider the options of an early morning balloon ride over the wildlife, night safari, or walking safari. Let Zara's guides take you to the Big Five animals and Maasai encampments, while photographing the trip from Zara's open-top Land Rovers. Zara also extends services into Kenya so you can visit Massai Mara.

Zanzibar - Visit the Spice Island, a quick flight from Tanzania to Zanzibar to experience the beautiful blue sea, sand eaches, and the spice markets in historic Stonetown. There are shore excursions for SCUBA and snorkeling, or just lay on the beach.

Uganda - Take a short flight to Tanzania's neighbor for a jungle terk to see the Gorillas. Hiking involved to venture deep into the forest to experience this adventure, but being so close, why not!?

Day Trips - From Springlands Hotel you have options to walk a few blocks to Zara's orphange (we recommend), take a taxi to visit an elementary school (bring some school supplies), walk into the town of Moshi.

Consider all of these options to maximize your time in Africa to make the effort of getting there worthwhile. Contact us by email or phone for further detals.
